Additional learning units will be posted when confirmed
Learn how to utilize virtual reality to test lighting fixtures and properties in various types of projects from interior fit-outs to existing spaces. VR technology enables both designers and clients to visualize the space and simulate multiple lighting options. The workshop will share a workflow to replicate lighting properties in VR that match the actual product, as well as potential limitations in using VR.
- Design advantages of using VR to choose the correct lighting product for architecture/interior projects. Actual lighting products can be tested in ongoing projects to better understand their effects on the space.
- Create an immersive space with correct lighting properties, and see a demonstration of using different lighting products in the digital VR space to understand how they affect the space.
- Learn how to match or customize digital properties to the actual light products based on specification (intensity, RGB, attenuation radius, source length, etc.).
- Learn a comprehensive workflow of importing the correct lighting properties into the project to create the VR space. Renderings often do not represent the correct lighting.
