The traditional framework of a lighting design concept is expanding to include lighting content. More than a mere change in lexicon, “lighting content” indicates an evolving design practice in response to advancing technology. Just as media moved from print to online, lighting’s intersection with technology and content will carry lighting practice into a new era in which complex lighting systems and building technologies create dynamic, responsive, integrated, and personalized environments/experiences.

Cy is a lighting professional with a diverse background in design, manufacturing, education, and research.
