ABOUT THE SESSION

Light sources in commercial spaces are usually driven by maximizing efficacy. Today's technology allows the quality of light to be more tailored to human preference, especially when it comes to designing interior spaces using lighting. This interactive workshop focuses on recent studies on human preference lighting and the key metrics used to assess a luminaire’s quality of light, as well as demonstrations on color quality.

Matt Blakeley is the Director of New Product Development for Focal Point LLC. Blakeley has spent the last 10 years focused on product development in both the lighting control and luminaire industries. Along with new luminaire product introductions he is also leading Focal Point’s ongoing activities in “Quality of Light” and “Connected Lighting." Blakeley holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and currently lives in Chicago.
